Add a touch of “Golden Era” British charm to your collection with this exquisite Royal Doulton “Fledgling” figurine (Model HN145).
Issued in 1917, this piece was designed during the tenure of the legendary Charles Noke, whose leadership defined the pinnacle of Doulton’s figurine artistry.
Although diminutive in scale, this porcelain bird, entitled “fledgling” is truly exquisite in its execution.
The stylized, streamlined form is remarkably modern for its time, featuring a vibrant yellow body contrasted by delicate charcoal and warm ochre accents along the wings and beak. The bird’s spirited, wide-eyed expression and open-beak “singing” posture make it a captivating miniature study.
Measuring 2″tall x 1 3/4″ long x 1 1/2″ wide, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The glaze is bright and clear.
This is a “first quality” piece carrying the authentic Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp and the hand-painted HN145 designation on the base.
This charming, tiny bird will bright any space in which it is placed. Just one look and it will surely brighten your day as well!
