Kay Finch Vintage Ambrosia Cat Figurine c. 1940’s

This fabulous Cat is a dramatic example of Kay Finch’s artistic talent and creative whimsy. As one of her larger pieces, it is done in an enchantingly romantic mix of soft pink, dusty rose, black and cream. There are numerous hand painted touches from her nose to her highly detailed toes. Just look at those eyes!

Measuring a full 10 1/4″ tall x 9″ long x 71/4″ wide, she is in excellent condition.

 She is model #155, and she appears in the Schiffer book for collectors, entitled Kay Finch Ceramics: Her Enchanted World by Mike Nickel and Cindy Horvath. Titled “Ambrosia”, she also appears on page 107 in “Collectible Kay Finch” by Devin Frick, Jean Frick and Richard Martinez, copyright 1997.

She is a wonderful example of vintage California pottery from the late 1930’s to the early 1940’s.
