This sculptural songbird is a quintessential example of his artistry, featuring a slip-decorated finish with delicate hand-painted speckling and a vibrant ochre crest. Unlike mass-produced ceramics, this piece carries the soulful, tactile quality of hand-thrown redware, finished with the subdued matte glaze that became a Seagraves signature.

Measuring a full 6 1/2″ tall x 8 1/2″ long x 2 3/4″ wide, this wonderful redware bird figurine is in excellent condition.
