Pink Elephant Glass Set Rack & Tip Tray c.1940’s

This fabulous glass set is adorned with dancing pink elephants!

It was manufactured by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company in the late 1930’s through the early 1940’s.

It includes 6, 6″ tall tumbler glasses and 2, 3 1/4″ scotch (or double shot) glasses, a wire carrying rack and a wonderful, matching tip tray. All the pieces are in excellent, ready-to-use condition.

This whimsical design of dancing pink elephants, reminds one of the expression “seeing pink elephants” which is a euphemism for having alcoholic hallucinations.

It was created in the early 1940’s and based on the 1941 Disney movie “Dumbo”, in which the main character, Dumbo the elephant, after accidentally drinking champagne, experiences a bizarre and colorful dream sequence of “Pink Elephants on Parade”. 

This set is a wonderful addition to any home bar, and a fabulous holiday gift!
