Vintage Porcelain Polar Bears Karl Ens Germany c.1920-1972

This gorgeous pair of vintage, porcelain Polar Bears were made by the Volkstedt Porcelain factory of Germany between 1920 -1972, by the well-known and popular sculptor, Karl Ens.

Both the posture of the sitting polar bear, as well as the stance of the other polar bear add to their realism.

They are both positioned on a white porcelain base, made to look like snow.

The entire piece is 8 1/2″ tall x 10″ long x 4 1/4″ wide and it is in excellent, flawless condition.

Not only are these two Polar Bears magnificently rendered, but they also have such personality.

One Polar seems quite industrious, while the other one seems to be simply enjoying the day.

For an animal enthusiast, such a wonderful study of these popular members of the animal community is an exceptional find.
